The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program prepares students with the foundational skills needed to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a variety of healthcare settings.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a vital role on the healthcare team by providing direct care and support to patients under the supervision of licensed nurses and physicians. CNAs are often the primary caregivers who assist patients with daily living activities and ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being.

CNA responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating

  • Helping patients move safely, including transferring and repositioning

  • Measuring and recording vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure

  • Assisting with patient mobility and range-of-motion exercises

  • Monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes to nursing staff

  • Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment

  • Supporting infection control and safety procedures

  • Providing emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families

  • Documenting patient care and communicating with the healthcare team

CNA Training Program

Students enrolled in this program will gain comprehensive knowledge and hands-on skills needed to work effectively as a Certified Nursing Assistant in hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home healthcare environments.
